The situation regarding renovation and insulation grants in the Brussels-Capital Region is unusual in 2026. Find out the current status of RENOLUTION Grants and which other forms of renovation support are currently available.

No RENOLUTION applications for final invoices dated 2025 or 2026
According to the Brussels-Capital Region, no government decision has yet been taken regarding possible RENOLUTION Grants for 2025 and 2026.
At present, RENOLUTION Grant applications cannot be submitted for work with a final invoice dated in 2025 or 2026.
Grant amounts and conditions from previous RENOLUTION schemes, such as the 2024 scheme, should therefore not be treated as current grant information for 2026.
What are RENOLUTION Grants?
Since 1 January 2022, RENOLUTION has been the name of the Brussels scheme combining the former Energy Grants, home renovation grants and façade improvement grants.
The scheme covered a range of renovation and energy-efficiency work, including insulation. However, there is currently no new grant scheme available for applications based on final invoices dated in 2025 or 2026.
Renovation work in Brussels should therefore not be planned on the basis of old RENOLUTION amounts without first checking the current official situation.

What renovation support is currently available?
The absence of a current RENOLUTION grant scheme does not mean that no financial support is available. Depending on your situation, other forms of assistance or financing may apply.
ECORENO Credit
A financing solution for renovation work on a home in the Brussels-Capital Region, including work intended to improve energy performance.
Municipal support
Some Brussels municipalities provide their own grants or financial incentives. Availability and eligibility conditions vary between municipalities.
Reduced 6% VAT
Certain renovation work may qualify for the reduced 6% VAT rate when the legal conditions are met. This is a tax benefit rather than a RENOLUTION Grant.
The support available to you depends on factors including the type of property, your status, your household income and the work being planned.
Financing renovation work with the ECORENO Credit
The ECORENO Credit provides a financing solution for various renovation works on homes located in Brussels.
ECORENO is a loan, not a renovation grant.
| Item | Current situation |
|---|---|
| Interest rate | Preferential interest rate of 2.5% to 3.5%, depending on the applicable conditions and household income thresholds. |
| Who can apply? | Owners, future owners and tenants of a home in the Brussels-Capital Region may qualify subject to the applicable conditions. |
| Which work? | This includes conventional renovation work, energy-performance improvements, safety, health and habitability improvements and certain adaptations relating to personal autonomy. |
| Execution | The work must be carried out by a professional contractor who meets the applicable registration and professional requirements. |
According to the current information from Homegrade, the ECORENO Credit is not currently available to landlord-owners or associations of co-owners. Additional financial and administrative conditions also apply.
What do we know about Brussels grants in 2027?
For 2027, we will only publish specific grant amounts and eligibility conditions once they have been officially established by the Brussels-Capital Region.
As of September 2026, no definitive 2027 RENOLUTION scheme has been published that provides reliable insulation grant amounts.
Nu-Isoleren deliberately does not present old grant amounts or estimates as if they apply in 2027. This page will be updated when new official rules are published.
